Iceland-based Treble raises $18 million for its voice simulation platform
Icelandic startup Treble has raised $18 million in a Series A extension led by Paladin Capital Group to expand its voice simulation platform for AI model developers, hardware makers and robotics firms. Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Treble has now raised over $40 million to date and counts Amazon and Logitech among its customers.

Treble, an Iceland-based startup building a physics-based voice simulation platform, has secured an $18 million extension to its Series A round led by Paladin Capital Group, with follow-on participation from existing backers including KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, EIC and Omega ehf. The company previously raised $12 million in 2024, taking its total disclosed funding above $40 million. Treble’s customer list includes Amazon and Logitech.
Founded by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen in 2020, Treble offers a suite of tools aimed at both voice AI developers and hardware makers. For model teams the company provides synthetic audio data generation and evaluation services intended to support tasks such as speech enhancement, noise suppression and training under varied acoustic conditions. Earlier this year Treble partnered with Hugging Face to publish a benchmark assessing speech recognition models across realistic environments.
On the hardware side, Treble provides virtual prototyping and testing for headphones, speakers, smart speakers and emerging wearables such as smart glasses. The platform can simulate how devices will capture and reproduce sound in different placements and settings, helping manufacturers assess intelligibility and command recognition without relying solely on physical prototypes.
Looking ahead, Treble plans to deepen its focus on physical-AI sectors including wearables, robotics, automotive and drones to enable sound-based features through simulation and testing. Paladin’s Francois Ruether said the startup’s simulation-native acoustic layer could gain importance as more products depend on understanding audio, while customers retain ownership of their own models and workflows.
