Dtcpay, a Singapore-based company that builds infrastructure for stablecoin and fiat payments, announced the completion of a $25 million Series A financing round following new backing from Japan’s SBI Group. SBI deployed capital through two Singapore-based vehicles it manages: SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund. Neither party disclosed how much SBI contributed or Dtcpay’s valuation.

The Series A began with a $10 million tranche in April led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India; Genedant Capital and returning investor Kwee Liong Tek also joined the round. Dtcpay previously raised $16.5 million in a pre-Series A round announced in June 2023. The company says the latest funding will be used to broaden its merchant network and expand its suite of payment products.

Dtcpay offers services that let businesses and consumers accept, hold and move stablecoins alongside fiat. Its product lineup includes a real-time stablecoin-to-fiat conversion mechanism, in-person merchant payment terminals and a Visa card that enables spending supported stablecoins across the card network. The firm holds a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and an Electronic Money Institution license in Luxembourg.

SBI described its investment as aligned with efforts to build a digital-asset corridor connecting Japan and Southeast Asia, signaling strategic interest in cross-border tokenized payment rails. Dtcpay said it plans product updates including a revamped business portal and additional consumer-facing features as part of its growth plans.
