Tonkeeper Becomes Keeper as Wallet Adds Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tron

Why It Matters

Converting one of the TON ecosystem’s largest wallets into a multichain product could simplify asset management for users who were juggling multiple apps and help introduce TON-native features to a broader crypto audience. The move also aligns with broader growth in the TON ecosystem, which has seen increased integration with Telegram and new financial offerings.

Key Facts

  • Rebrand: Tonkeeper changed its name to Keeper
  • Chains supported: TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Base
  • Number of new networks: Six networks added beyond TON
  • Company spokesperson: Nikita Monastyrskiy, CMO of Keeper
  • Fee-payment feature: Battery lets users pay transaction fees without holding each network's native token; planned expansion to all supported networks within a year

Keeper, formerly known as Tonkeeper, has repositioned itself from a single-chain wallet focused on The Open Network (TON) into a multichain self-custodial wallet. The team announced support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Base in addition to TON, turning a leading TON wallet into a broader crypto product. Keeper’s rebrand reflects usage patterns the company observed among its users: people who relied on Tonkeeper were increasingly holding assets across multiple blockchains and managing them in several separate apps. Nikita Monastyrskiy, Keeper’s CMO, said the name Tonkeeper no longer matched those multichain needs and that the new brand aims to unify users’ assets under a single interface. The wallet includes a feature called Battery, which allows users to pay transaction fees without maintaining balances of each network’s native token; Keeper said it plans to extend Battery to every supported chain within a year. Beyond chain support, the company laid out a product roadmap that includes cross-chain swaps, decentralized-finance products, spending tools, a decentralized-app browser, a loyalty program and perpetual-futures trading, but did not provide launch dates for those services. Keeper’s expansion follows similar moves in the TON ecosystem, such as MyTonWallet’s rebrand to My Wallet after enlarging its network coverage and the launch of cross-chain swaps by TON-based services. The development also comes as Telegram has deepened its ties to TON — naming TON the exclusive blockchain for crypto-enabled mini apps in January 2025 and taking a larger role in steering the network afterward — while the Open Platform, which backs Keeper, raised $28.5 million at a $1 billion valuation in 2025. Keeper says the multichain push aims both to give existing users a single app for all assets and to expose the wallet’s TON features to a wider audience.
