Valor, Atreides, and Sequoia back AI startup Flow Engineering at $750M valuation
Flow Engineering, a San Francisco startup building AI agents for hardware design, raised $50 million in a Series B round that values the company at $750 million, the company announced. The financing was co-led by Valor Equity Partners and Atreides Management, with participation from Sequoia Capital and angel investor Roelof Botha, who has joined Flow’s board.

Why It Matters
The new capital and high valuation signal investor confidence in AI-driven tools for complex hardware workflows, and the addition of experienced backers — including a former Sequoia partner on the board — could accelerate Flow’s commercial adoption among automotive and aerospace customers.
Key Facts
- Company: Flow Engineering
- Headquarters: San Francisco
- Founded: Three years ago
- Round: Series B
- Amount raised: $50 million
Flow Engineering has closed a $50 million Series B funding round that sets its valuation at $750 million, the company disclosed. The financing was co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valor Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management. Sequoia Capital, which led Flow’s Series A last October, also participated in the round.
Former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha invested as an individual and will take a seat on Flow’s board. The company positions its software as AI agents that bridge CAD models, product requirements, simulation outputs and testing data to streamline hardware design workflows.
Flow lists customers spanning automotive, aerospace and defense, including Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU (a GM and TWG Motorsports joint venture), RV Tech (a Rivian and Volkswagen joint venture), and Stoke Space. The startup says its tools aim to reduce the friction engineers face when reconciling design files with performance and compliance constraints.
The new funding follows Flow’s Series A lead from Sequoia last year and comes as venture investors continue to back companies applying generative AI and agent techniques to domain-specific engineering problems. Flow’s backers include firms with prior investments in companies tied to advanced hardware and aerospace sectors.
