U.S. Administration Eyes Venezuela’s Critical Minerals

Following a U.S. agreement to take a majority stake in Venezuela’s 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, the Trump Administration is exploring involvement of American companies in Venezuela’s gold and other critical minerals. Officials have held preliminary meetings with firms to gauge interest, but experts say geological uncertainty and weak mining infrastructure make rapid development unlikely.
