Sudan’s military chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, rejected negotiations and vowed to retake all areas held by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), saying the army will continue a "military option" until the RSF is removed. The pledge came as fresh fighting killed at least 10 civilians in West Kordofan and forced more than 5,500 people to flee their homes in Blue Nile state.
