The Trump administration plans to sell Israel a $2.8bn package of 907kg (2,000-pound) bombs, reportedly the largest single transfer of that munition in recent years. The package, financed through US Foreign Military Financing, includes 40,000 bombs and specialized warheads and has drawn criticism from rights groups and some US lawmakers over civilian harm in Gaza and Lebanon.
