Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) introduced the Ban Flock Act on Friday, a bill that would bar federal agencies from using automatic license plate readers (ALPRs). The measure would also suspend federal grant funding for state and local governments that maintain contracts to deploy ALPR systems.
