Stablecoin infrastructure firm Bastion said the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granted preliminary conditional approval for a federal trust bank charter. Branded as Bastion Platforms National Trust Company, the proposed entity would provide stablecoin custody, wallets, payment rails and white-label issuance, but would not accept deposits or make loans.
