Tennessee Department of Correction Commissioner Frank Strada has resigned following a failed execution attempt of death row inmate Christa Pike, Gov. Bill Lee announced. Strada, who had led the department since his 2023 appointment, said stepping aside would serve the public interest as an independent review proceeds.
