Microsoft is moving its communications group from marketing into its Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization and has placed vice chair and president Brad Smith in charge of communications. Chief communications officer Frank Shaw, who announced his departure earlier this month after nearly three decades at Microsoft, will leave later this year while Brent Colburn serves as interim communications leader.
