Research from onchain analytics firm Glassnode shows publicly listed companies added roughly 5,900 BTC to corporate treasuries in 2026 so far, a steep drop from the 89,000 BTC acquired by companies in July 2025. With an aggregate corporate treasury cost basis near $80,500, these holdings remain in unrealized loss as BTC trades below that level and fresh capital inflows have stalled.
