INEOS Energy and partners inaugurated the Greensand carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility in Denmark, which the company says is the European Union's first full-scale CO2 storage site. The commercial phase aims to sequester up to 400,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, with plans to scale toward 4–8 million tonnes annually at full capacity.
