ESMA said it will shift its MiCA work in 2027 from writing rules to coordinating supervision and convergence among national regulators, prioritizing operational resilience, outsourcing and ensuring crypto firms maintain sufficient operations within the EU. The authority will also push for harmonized reporting, common risk indicators, and further development of its MIDAS market surveillance system.
