The U.S. Development Finance Corp. has approved up to $414 million in financing for Canadian miner Global Atomic’s Dasa uranium project in Niger, the company said. The move comes two years after Washington agreed to pull about 1,000 troops from Niger following a 2023 coup and amid a dispute between Niger and France-backed miner Orano.
