The Trump administration has removed Venezuela from the US list of countries deemed to have "failed demonstrably" in combating illegal drug trafficking, according to a statement submitted to Congress. President Trump said the move followed the arrest and removal of Nicolás Maduro and increased cooperation with Venezuela's interim government, and he signaled Colombia and Bolivia could be taken off the list in future reports.
