Consensys Software Inc. will split its consumer and institutional operations, rebranding the existing company as MetaMask and creating a newly formed Consensys to oversee Ethereum protocols and institutional blockchain infrastructure. The separation, driven by distinct product focuses, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and will result in two independently operating companies.
