Ethereum Institutional publicly backed Ethlabs’ proposal to shorten Ethereum block times, saying a faster chain is necessary as more institutional activity moves on-chain. The endorsement followed Ethlabs publishing support from numerous DeFi founders for EIP-8198, or "Quick Slots," which would lower block times from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
