Furo, a Munich-based startup that builds software for industrial battery storage systems, has raised $4 million from mostly U.S. investors despite its founders returning from Silicon Valley to Germany. The three 28-year-old co-founders — Lena Sophia Voß, Leonie Wagner and Simon Wittner — say relocating back home accelerated customer access, hiring and business growth, and helped them land enterprise accounts such as Deutsche Bahn.
