The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) said in its latest risk monitoring report that growing connections between crypto markets and traditional finance could raise the chance of shocks spreading across the wider financial system. The regulator singled out tokenized equities, decentralized finance (DeFi) exploits and prediction markets as specific areas that may deepen those links and create new vulnerabilities.
