Jeff Lawson, co-founder of Twilio and now CEO of fusion startup Inertia, will appear on the Smart Systems Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to discuss translating software founder experience to building fusion energy technology. Inertia has raised $450 million in a Series A led by Bessemer, opened a 50,000-square-foot headquarters in Livermore, California, and is developing laser systems and mass manufacturing for fusion fuel targets.
