Germany has directed state-owned gas importer Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) to add about 8 terawatt-hours (TWh) of natural gas to the country's storage facilities by December 15, the company said. The order follows concerns over low storage levels after a year of supply disruptions and follows SEFE's 2022 nationalization from Russia's Gazprom amid the invasion of Ukraine and EU sanctions.
