A Vermont jury has convicted 51-year-old Jason Eaton of attempted murder for a November 2023 shooting that wounded three Palestinian students near the University of Vermont campus, rejecting his plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Eaton faces up to life in prison and was ordered jailed pending a yet-to-be-scheduled sentencing hearing.
