Alabama's Attorney General announced a settlement with TikTok and parent company ByteDance for at least $100 million in a lawsuit over the app's alleged mental health effects on minors. The deal was disclosed days before a state court was due to hear arguments, and TikTok has 45 days to respond; the payment could rise to as much as $300 million under terms cited by the state.
