AMD said it will buy AI research lab World Labs in an all-stock transaction valued at about $8.2 billion. World Labs, co-founded by Dr. Fei-Fei Li, launched in 2024 and introduced a commercial product called Marble in 2025; the acquisition is expected to close by year-end.
