Google has agreed to purchase 1 million carbon credits from Indian climate-tech startup Mitti Labs under a four-year deal that runs through 2030, the companies said. The agreement will cover rice farms across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and is being billed as the largest publicly announced carbon-credit purchase tied to methane reductions in rice cultivation.
