The U.K. produced record levels of wind power in 2025, with wind becoming the largest single renewable electricity source, according to data from the National Energy System Operator (Neso). Overall, wind, solar, hydro and biomass supplied over 127 TWh — roughly 44% of the country’s electricity — as onshore and offshore project pipelines expanded rapidly.
