S&P Global has agreed to acquire smart contract security firm OpenZeppelin, folding the audit provider and its open-source libraries into S&P’s digital asset risk business while allowing OpenZeppelin to operate under its existing brand and leadership. CEO Demian Brener will continue to lead the unit and report to Yann Le Pallec of S&P Global Ratings; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal remains subject to closing conditions.
