Lyft has begun offering Waymo robotaxi service through its app in Nashville, marking the company's first commercial deployment of fully driverless vehicles on its platform. Under the arrangement, Lyft — via its subsidiary Flexdrive — manages fleet readiness, maintenance and depot operations while riders can hail Waymo vehicles either through Waymo's app or request one on Lyft when available.
