President Trump posthumously presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Welles Crowther, an equities trader and volunteer firefighter who died while rescuing people during the September 11 attacks. The medal was accepted by Crowther’s mother and sister at the Steel Across America ceremony on Tuesday ahead of the attacks’ 25th anniversary.
