India’s Cockroach movement says members detained as protests continue

India’s opposition-aligned Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) says police have detained many of its members as nationwide protests continue over a contested revision of voter rolls that opponents say advantages the ruling BJP. The movement and allied student groups are planning mass demonstrations in New Delhi on Saturday, and activists have held rallies in multiple cities this week.
