Israeli soldiers participate in Sydney Marathon despite protests

Protesters waved Palestinian flags and criticised the Australian government for issuing visas to 40 Israeli soldiers. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered along the course of the Sydney Marathon to protest the participation of Israeli soldiers in the prestigious race, with pro-Palestine activists urging Australia’s government to explain the soldiers’ presence in the country.
