Tether-backed project Utexo plans to begin issuing USDT on Bitcoin this month, returning the stablecoin to the blockchain where it first launched in 2014. Utexo says its implementation will support private USDT transfers, direct BTC↔USDT swaps, and loans collateralized with native bitcoin while keeping most transaction data off Bitcoin's public ledger.
