Argentina has threatened legal action against the United Kingdom unless London suspends an oil development at the Sea Lion field near the Falkland Islands, Argentine president Javier Milei said in an X post cited by the BBC. Milei directed the Foreign Ministry and legal teams to seek international arbitration and said Argentina would take the case to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea if the UK does not halt the project within two weeks.
