The Bureau of Land Management will offer about 35,000 acres in California for oil and gas leasing on Dec. 1, placing 43 parcels across Kern, Kings, Fresno and San Luis Obispo counties up for auction. The sale follows BLM decisions in June that reopened federal leasing in the Bakersfield and Central Coast planning areas after years of litigation and environmental review.
