Samoa's Prime Minister La’auli Leuatea Schmidt apologised after a previously unseen 2007 video showed him leading a Nazi salute and saying "Heil Hitler" at a family reunion. Schmidt said the words and gesture were inappropriate, rejected Nazism and related ideologies, and stated the incident did not reflect his beliefs or those of Samoa's government.
