U.S. gross natural gas withdrawals totaled 47.7 trillion cubic feet in 2025, with a small number of states responsible for the majority of output. Texas was the largest producer at 13,603.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf), followed by Pennsylvania at 7,675.8 Bcf, according to a Visual Capitalist map using U.S. Energy Information Administration data.
