IonQ announced the Superion 256 quantum computer and is now accepting orders, with customer deliveries scheduled for 2027. The company says SkyWater has fabricated the first 256-qubit processors and teams have trapped ions in prototype devices, though it has not released performance data for a complete 256-qubit system.
