Cboe Global Markets and S&P Dow Jones Indices extended their exclusive licensing agreement for S&P 500 index options through 2051 and said they may explore new products including tokenized options contracts. The tokenization effort is described as exploratory and any on-chain options would be a separate product from existing SPX options trading, which hit a record in 2025.
