U.S. Bank has completed a live cross-border payment using its internally developed USBDC stablecoin on the public Stellar network, moving funds between the bank’s North American and European entities. The pilot exercised issuance and controls such as minting, redemption, freezing and clawback while tying the token flow into the bank’s existing risk, compliance and operations systems.
