At Apple’s Surprise and Shine event, new CEO John Ternus presented the iPhone as the company's core artificial intelligence device, arguing it already meets the requirements for what he called an "intelligent personal hub." Ternus said Apple will emphasize on-device AI to protect user data and differentiate the company from rivals that collect and store personal information.
