Ethiopian Airlines has temporarily suspended services to three airports in northern Tigray — Mekelle, Axum and Shire — citing the "current situation" in the region. The move follows reports that Tigrayan forces seized Mekelle airport after the Tigray People’s Liberation Front announced an alliance with six other armed groups.
