The U.S. last month deployed two additional Patriot missile batteries to protect energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Qatar amid concerns about Iranian strikes escalating the region’s conflict, Axios and regional sources told reporters. One battery was sent to guard a major Saudi oil facility and the other to defend a natural gas site in Qatar, the reporting said.
