President Donald Trump has signed the Lindsey O Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, a bipartisan package imposing broad sanctions on Russia over its war in Ukraine and extending measures on Iran. The law targets Russian officials, oligarchs, banks, energy and defence sectors, and gives the president authority to levy tariffs of up to 100% on the five largest buyers of Russian oil and gas.
