A hacker withdrew roughly 4,000 bitcoins—about $340 million—from Liquid Network, a settlement layer launched by Blockstream and used by multiple cryptocurrency exchanges. Blockstream said the attacker identified as a "white hat" and paused Liquid's operations while most of the funds were returned after the company patched a bug.
