Zano's core team restarted its blockchain at block 3,833,000, reverting about a month of history after a vulnerability tied to a newly introduced Gateway Addresses feature allowed unauthorized ZANO and Freedom Dollar (fUSD) tokens to be created. The recovery requires ecosystem participants — nodes, miners, stakers, exchanges and services — to adopt the update and will remove transactions executed during the rolled-back period from the recovered chain.
