Bitmine projects $334M in annual staking revenue from $15.8B crypto treasury
Bitmine Immersion Technologies added 27,180 ETH last week, lifting its Ether holdings to more than 5.95 million ETH — about $15.4 billion and roughly 4.9% of circulating supply. The firm said it has staked over 5.06 million ETH, which it estimates will generate about $334 million in annualized staking revenue at current rates, and reported total assets of around $15.8 billion including cash and other crypto.

Why It Matters
By staking the bulk of its Ether, Bitmine is converting a large crypto treasury into a recurring income stream, a capability not available to companies holding Bitcoin alone. The firms staking ratio is comparable to major products like Grayscales ETHE, underscoring growing institutional use of PoS yield strategies.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced it added 27,180 ETH last week, taking its Ether holdings above 5.95 million ETH. The company said those Ether holdings are worth about $15.4 billion, which represents nearly 4.9% of Ethers circulating supply; when combined with cash and other crypto assets, Bitmine put its total assets at roughly $15.8 billion.
The firm reported that more than 5.06 million ETH is currently staked, and at prevailing rates this portfolio of staked Ether would generate an estimated $334 million in annualized revenue. Bitmines staking ratio is similar to the Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE), which shows about 84.6% of its Ether staked on the funds webpage. The company noted that staking offers an advantage over Bitcoin-focused treasuries, since BTC holdings do not earn native staking yield.
On markets, Bitmines shares were little changed on Monday, trading just below $25 in morning trading; the stock has gained nearly 38% over the past month but remains down year to date, per Yahoo Finance data. Separately, the report also noted Strategys recent activity under Michael Saylor: Strategy repurchased about 1.42 million shares of its STRC preferred stock for $139.3 million between Sept. 8 and Sept. 13, having bought $176.3 million of STRC the prior week, while its Bitcoin holdings stayed unchanged at 845,050 BTC as of Sept. 13.
