Why It Matters

By staking the bulk of its Ether, Bitmine is converting a large crypto treasury into a recurring income stream, a capability not available to companies holding Bitcoin alone. The firms staking ratio is comparable to major products like Grayscales ETHE, underscoring growing institutional use of PoS yield strategies.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced it added 27,180 ETH last week, taking its Ether holdings above 5.95 million ETH. The company said those Ether holdings are worth about $15.4 billion, which represents nearly 4.9% of Ethers circulating supply; when combined with cash and other crypto assets, Bitmine put its total assets at roughly $15.8 billion.
