Eight Sleep’s new Pod 6 comes in smaller and solo sizes, starting at $1,999
Sleep-tech company Eight Sleep introduced the Pod 6, a smaller-footprint version of its heated-and-cooled mattress pod that also comes in solo sizes for single users. The company says the new model adjusts temperatures 20% faster than the previous generation and is available in more than 37 countries starting at $1,999 for solo sizes.

Why It Matters
The Pod 6's reduced size and faster temperature response aim to broaden compatibility with bed frames and improve individualized temperature control, which could increase adoption among consumers and support Eight Sleep's ongoing international expansion and regulatory push into medical devices.
Key Facts
- Product: Pod 6
- Temperature adjustment speed: 20% faster than previous generation
- Footprint reduction: 50% smaller footprint than prior pod
- Sensor increase: 9x more sensors
- Availability: Available today in over 37 countries
Eight Sleep launched its latest mattress temperature-control device, the Pod 6, which the company designed with a smaller physical profile and new solo sizes for one-person use. The reduced footprint—about half the size of the prior pod—allows the unit to fit a broader range of bed frames, while solo variants are built to cover twin beds and single sides of queens, kings and California kings. Standard sizes will continue to be offered for queen, king and California King mattresses.
The company said the Pod 6 responds to temperature changes about 20% faster than the previous generation and includes nine times more sensors to enable finer-grained temperature control for each sleeper, even when users are close together. Eight Sleep also said the device can filter out data from a pet or child sharing the bed with two users, improving personalization.
Pricing starts at $1,999 for solo sizes and $2,699 for standard sizes, and the Pod 6 is available in more than 37 countries. Eight Sleep noted that the new pod is compatible with its existing accessories, such as a heated blanket, pillow cover and base.
Beyond hardware, Eight Sleep is pursuing U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to market the Pod as a regulated medical device for sleep apnea. The company earlier this year raised $50 million from Tether at a $1.5 billion valuation and has expanded sales into markets including China, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Singapore. CEO Matteo Franceschetti told TechCrunch that international markets account for more than 30% of revenue and that the company plans further expansion in Asia and Latin America. He also said Eight Sleep is monitoring a component shortage in electronics and adjusting its supply chain as its devices become more compute-heavy to support AI features.
