YouTube announced multiple AI-focused upgrades to its Studio app at the Made On YouTube event on September 23, 2026. The company said Ask Studio, its AI-powered Q&A tool, will be available on both iOS and Android, bringing conversational support to creators on mobile. Alongside that expansion, YouTube introduced an AI draft-feedback feature that reviews unpublished videos and offers suggestions about pacing, structure and storytelling.
The Studio app will also include a new research feed that highlights what kinds of content are performing well on the platform, intended to help creators apply trends to their own work. For thumbnails and titles, YouTube added generation tools that can produce options based on a video’s content and tailored to a creator’s style. A dynamic thumbnail capability will create three different thumbnail options and serve each to a different audience segment to gauge performance.
YouTube noted creators have already used its A/B testing tools extensively, running more than 40 million tests on titles and thumbnails. The company said it will soon let users test up to three video cuts to determine which opening hook performs best. Later in the year, Studio is expected to monitor thumbnail performance automatically and replace a thumbnail proactively if it is underperforming.
Beyond thumbnail and title tools, YouTube said it is enhancing analytics to go beyond raw metrics by explaining why videos behave the way they do and offering advice on how to make content more engaging. The company also highlighted additional creator tools introduced at the event, such as conversational editing for Shorts and updates to the YouTube Create app.
